Description:
The Process Engineer is responsible for process improvements for production in all facets of operation through direct contributions of project development from conception through start-up. The Process Engineer will apply engineering techniques to assist in the improvement of processes & products. A Process Engineer will provide technical support, operations experience, continues improvement and project management skills in a plant support capacity that ensures safe, efficient, and low-cost plant operations.
Requirements:
Below is a listing of the job functions this position performs:
Design, develop and execute projects up to $ 5 million.
Write project proposals with financial justification
Work with third party contractors
Create process flow diagrams, P&ID’s, material and energy balances, and plan view layouts
Maintain knowledge of plant control systems
Troubleshooting processes mechanical & operational
Provide input of strategic decisions that affect functional areas
Resolve issues arising from operations
Participate in risk assessments, reports band identifies risk to management, provide recommendations for mitigation of risk
Collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization
Perform all other related duties as assigned by direct supervisor(s)
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills
Demonstrated understanding of industry manufacturing equipment
Engineering experience
Project Management & Process Design experience
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
Minimum of 2 years related managerial project experience in a manufacturing environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Very heavy work (lift over 50 lbs.)

Other physical requirements (note):
Physically able to operate machinery to train
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
Ability to drive company owned or personal vehicle
