Grant Writer
Position Summary
A Safe Place’s Grant Writer will identify grant funding sources to support existing and planned program activities, including the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals to federal, state, corporate, and private funding agencies.
The Grant Writer must have excellent research and communication skills, in both written and verbal form. The Grant Writer works within the guidelines, policies and mission of A Safe Place. Must have 3-5 years experience with federal, state, private, and local grants. Must be detail oriented, organized, work independently, and work well under pressure/deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Organize annual grant calendar
* Researching grant opportunities & deadlines
* Drafting & submission of polished proposals for grant funds
* Maintain grant compliance and submit all grant reports
* Create/print monthly activity calendar
* Attend weekly staff meeting
* Assist with ASP event preparation
*Assist with ASP donor appreciation
*Assist with ASP info tables
Compensation
Salary based on education and experience, starting at $42,000
Pay Schedule: 1st day of each month
Insurance/Benefits: No benefits or insurance will be provided.
Work Hours
Monday through Friday from 9:00am until 4:00pm.
