Licensure/Certification Required: NCIDQ certification preferred.Reports To: Director of Interior DesignThis position is intended for mid-level applicants who have at least five years of experience and can independently complete all interior design-related functions on public projects with minimal oversight. Entry-level or recent graduates should not apply for this position. Core competencies and requirements but are not limited to, the following:· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.· Understanding of ADA guidelines and universal design and construction principles.· Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.· Ability to lead design concepts, develop space plans and guide projects from programming through construction administration.· Detail oriented with the ability to manage documentation and track project progress.· Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and knowledge of design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, D5 Render, Google Gemini, etc.).Job Responsibilities and Tasks:· Develop design concepts based on client needs, preferences, and project requirements.· Create floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.).· Verbal and written contact with clients and consultants.· Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to endure design goals are met within budget and timeline.· Mentor and supervise work of junior interior design staff.· Integrate ADA compliance and universal design principles into all projects, ensuring accessibility.· May conduct site assessments to evaluate design feasibility and compliance with safety regulations.· Select and source furniture, materials, finishes and accessories that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.· Assist in preparing presentations.· Maintain project documentation, including design files, schedules, and budgets.· May assist with specifications.· Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other team members throughout the project lifecycle.· Participation in client meetings and presentations.· Perform other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements:· Ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.· This position may require occasional lifting of samples and project materials including but not limited to flooring, carpet, stone, or brick samples, roofing samples, drawing rolls.· Some work may be conducted in both office and on-site environments, including client locations and construction sites.· Ability to use computers and office equipment.· Ability to commute and travel out of state.Salary: $65,000 - $100,000 DOQ
