Payroll & Reporting Analyst

The Payroll & Reporting Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data to provide insights and recommendations to the management team. In this role, the Payroll & Reporting Analyst will be expected to design and generate reports, as well as identify trends and patterns to help improve business operations. In addition, this position is responsible for compiling and submitting semi-monthly pilot payroll to Parent Company. Department of Transportation (DOT) Reporting Duties & Responsibilities: Participate in DOT meetings/conference calls as needed. Prepare monthly T100 reports utilizing Takeflite. Prepare quarterly 298C utilizing T100 and in-house prepared financial reports. USPS Reporting Duties & Responsibilities: Accept, enter, email to USPS on receipt, track in spreadsheet. Generate and provide weekly USPS mail payment report on Fridays to CFO Submit claims to USPS for unpaid transfers open longer than 1-2 months. Generate market share reports as needed for President or Director of Operations Audit PS Form 2729; Record of Loose mail dispatched and create claims, as necessary. Corporate Reporting Duties & Responsibilities: Compile and submit semi-monthly Pilot Payroll to Saltchuk. Calculate and update mail and freight rates as needed. Run and format three monthly reports for Saltchuk to include: Anchorage passenger counts Weight by Destination Summary Weight by Destination Detail Other Duties as assigned. Key Skills and Competencies: Keen attention to detail and accuracy. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good at multitasking. Ability to organize and prioritize duties and responsibilities. Excellent clerical, word processing, and/or office skills Able to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions. Ability to stayed focus while working on long tasks. Quick learner and have a willingness to be coachable. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in business. Two (2) years prior accounting experience. Knowledge and proficient in the usage of computers, especially Microsoft (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Airline experience a plus. Must be able to pass security background check for Airport Badging. Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
