For more information, please visit .Job Title: Senior Specialist - System Management (DevOps Automation) Work Location- Alpharetta, GAJob DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Database Patching Automation Engineer/Architect to design, develop, and implement automation solutions for patching enterprise databases, including Oracle, SQL Server, Db2, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and other open source platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in DevOps, scripting, configuration management, and database lifecycle automation.This role will focus on creating scalable, repeatable, and secure patching frameworks across hybrid and multi cloud infrastructures.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement automated patching frameworks for:Oracle (including RAC & Exadata)SQL ServerIBM Db2MongoDB, MySQL / MariaDB, PostgreSQL & CassandraDevelop end to end patching pipelines including:Version discoveryPrechecks/post checksCompliance validationReporting and dashboardsBuild and maintain Automation Workflows using Rundeck, Ansible, Terraform, MFO, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOpsDevelop reusable automation frameworks and templates for infrastructure operations.Create and maintain scripts using Python and other scripting languages (Shell, PowerShell).Integrate automation workflows with monitoring, scheduling, and orchestration tools.Integrate patching automation with CMDB, service management, and change control workflows (ServiceNow preferred).Collaborate with OS, Database, and Security teams to ensure compliant and scalable automation.Troubleshoot automation failures and optimize existing automation processes.Document automation designs, workflows, and operational procedures.Mandatory SkillsAutomation Tools:Ansible (playbooks, roles, inventories)Rundeck (job orchestration, scheduling)Terraform, GitLab CI/CDMFO (Managed File Processing / relevant enterprise automation tool)Programming & Scripting:Python (strong hands-on experience)Shell scripting (Bash) and/or PowerShellAutomation Expertise:Proven experience implementing patching automation solutionsAutomation for large-scale enterprise environmentsAdded Advantage (Good To Have)Strong knowledge of Operating Systems:Linux (RHEL, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu)Windows ServerDatabase Knowledge:Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, or other enterprise databasesUnderstanding of database patching conceptsExperience with CI/CD pipelines or DevOps toolsExposure to monitoring and alerting toolsKnowledge of security and compliance requirements related to patchingIdeal Candidate ProfileHas implemented automation solutions from design to production, not just consumed themHands-on experience automating patching at scaleStrong problem-solving and debugging skillsComfortable working in a large enterprise, cross-functional environmentAble to clearly document and explain automation workflowsBenefits/perks listed below may vary depending on the nature of your employment with LTIMindtree ( LTIM ):Benefits And PerksComprehensive Medical Plan Covering Medical, Dental, VisionShort Term and Long-Term Disability Coverage401(k) Plan with Company matchLife InsuranceVacation Time, Sick Leave, Paid HolidaysPaid Paternity and Maternity LeaveThe range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum salary target for the position across all US locations.
