Sr. Cloud Engineer

Senior Cloud EngineerWe are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to help build, automate, and scale our client's enterprise Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. This is a highly hands-on engineering role focused on cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Git/GitOps practices, automation, cloud security, and platform engineering.The ideal candidate has deep GCP expertise and enjoys building scalable, secure, and developer-friendly cloud solutions that enable engineering teams to move faster while maintaining operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.Implement and support Git and GitOps workflows to automate infrastructure deployment and management.Build and enhance cloud automation, self-service capabilities, and platform engineering solutions.Partner with development teams to design and support cloud-native applications and services.Establish and maintain cloud security, governance, compliance, and operational best practices.Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure for reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.Support production environments and resolve complex infrastructure issues.Mentor team members and promote cloud engineering best practices across the organization.Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to the cloud platform.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.8+ years of cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or platform engineering experience.5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).Strong experience with Git and GitOps methodologies.Experience building and supporting cloud infrastructure in large-scale enterprise environments.Strong understanding of cloud security, automation, networking, and operational best practices.Excellent troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with cloud governance and cloud platform standardization.Experience with Kubernetes and GKE.Experience with CI/CD automation and developer enablement.Experience with observability and monitoring solutions.Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.Required Technical SkillsGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP)TerraformGitGitOpsInfrastructure as Code (IaC)Cloud Infrastructure AutomationPreferred Technical SkillsCloud SecurityKubernetes / GKECI/CD PipelinesPlatform EngineeringObservability & MonitoringWhat Success Looks LikeDeliver scalable, secure, and automated cloud infrastructure solutions.Improve developer productivity through automation and self-service capabilities.Drive adoption of cloud engineering best practices across teams.Build and maintain reliable, compliant, and cost-effective cloud platforms.Contribute to the continuous evolution of the organization's cloud strategy and capabilities.
