This role leads cross-functional engineering teams supporting production, modernization, and obsolescence management for domestic and international defense programs.The position is responsible for delivering projects within schedule, budget, and technical constraints while supporting vehicle system design, integration, build, and testing activities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead cross-functional engineering teams supporting tracked vehicle programsDevelop and execute project plans, integrated schedules, and program metricsApply Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principlesManage engineering scope, budgets, forecasting, and funding mechanismsSupport vehicle system design, integration, build, and test activitiesServe as technical interface with customers and leadershipSupport proposal efforts, bids, and RFI responsesManage problem reports, design changes, and resolution trackingMonitor project performance metrics and schedule adherenceRecommend process improvements to improve engineering throughputRequired Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering7+ years of relevant engineering/project experienceExperience leading complex technical or engineering projectsExperience managing multi-functional engineering teamsPreferred Qualifications5+ years in defense or engineering industry programsAdvanced degree ( MBA or MS ) a plusExperience with EVMS, project scheduling tools, and critical path analysisExperience managing technical customer relationshipsKey SkillsProject planning and executionBudget management and forecastingEngineering program leadershipContract interpretation and scope managementStrong communication and analytical skillsWhy Join CPI?For over 40 years, Contract Professionals, Inc.
