Construction Inspector
JOB SUMMARY: The Construction Inspector is responsible for overseeing contractor activities in the field to ensure all construction work meets company design requirements, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines. This role acts as a liaison between contractors, internal teams, and customers while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Serve as a field liaison between contractors, internal teams, and customers • Monitor contractor work to ensure compliance with company standards, specifications, and safety procedures • Verify construction aligns with approved designs and coordinate necessary modifications • Attend and participate in preconstruction, ongoing, and post-construction meetings • Perform field investigations and address customer concerns • Identify, stop, and report safety violations to management • Collaborate with contract foremen to resolve field issues • Coordinate contractor activities with internal departments and third-party entities • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and cost-effectively • Communicate field changes to designers and stakeholders • Conduct inspections of overhead line construction • Plan, track, and coordinate contractor work activities • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting • Perform additional duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or GED • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Experience in overhead construction • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and designs • Knowledge of safety standards and company policies • Flexibility to work extended hours and emergency call-outs as needed PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience as an overhead journeyman or higher • Knowledge of vegetation management, arboriculture, or horticulture • Bilingual communication skills Education: High School
