Title: Electronic AssemblerType: 4-Month ContractLocation: Blacksburg, VA 24060 (Onsite)Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMJob Overview:We are seeking a skilled Electronic Assembler with hands-on experience in fiber optics and electronic components. This role involves assembling, testing, and troubleshooting fiber optic sensors and electronic systems in a workshop environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.Key Responsibilities:Assemble, install, and troubleshoot electronic boards, wiring, and fiber optic componentsPerform testing of fiber optic sensors to ensure high-quality product performanceConfigure, prepare, and maintain test equipmentSplice optical fibers and related componentsInterpret wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, schematics, and parts listsFollow detailed written procedures and maintain accurate production records (travelers)Assist in updating procedures and suggest process improvementsCross-train team members to improve workflow and address knowledge gapsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentRequired Qualifications:5+ years of experience working with electronic components, wiring harnesses, connectors, and assembliesStrong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and diagramsHands-on experience with fiber optic splicing and optical test/measurement equipmentGood organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and follow safety protocols
