The selected candidate will learn livestock receiving operations, procurement programs, and buying procedures while gaining hands-on industry experience.Key ResponsibilitiesSort, count, weigh, tattoo, and identify livestock per segregation programsWork in livestock receiving alleys at the plantTrain with experienced hog buyers in the fieldSupport scheduling of livestock deliveriesProvide vacation coverage for hog buyers after trainingLearn procurement systems including carcass merit, weight docks, and harvest sheetsEnsure compliance with company SOPs, USDA regulations, and safety standardsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Agriculture OR livestock production background requiredMay 2026 graduates will be considered (offer contingent on degree completion)Strong interest or exposure to livestock industry preferredBasic computer skillsStrong communication and record-keeping skillsAbility to follow strict SOPs and safety protocolsWork ConditionsMust wear PPE: hard hat, steel-toe boots, hearing protectionStanding/walking for full shiftSeasonal temperature variation in work environmentOccasional moderate to heavy physical effort requiredOvernight travel may be requiredPreferred TraitsDetail-oriented and organizedStrong communication and teamwork skillsWillingness to work in field + plant environmentInterest in livestock procurement and agricultural operationsAdditional NotesLimited supervisory responsibilities during training phaseFull training provided for hog procurement pathway roleWould you like to know more about this opportunity?
