Job DescriptionFull Stack Developer (React/React Native + Java)The Senior Manager – Hands‑on full stack developer is a senior‑level technical leader who combines deep full‑stack engineering expertise with team leadership and delivery accountability. This role is highly hands‑on, contributing directly to design and development while also guiding teams, setting technical direction, and ensuring high‑quality delivery of complex, scalable solutions.The Senior Manager is expected to code regularly, lead by example, and own critical technical decisions across frontend, backend, APIs, and data services in an enterprise, client‑facing environment. Hands‑On EngineeringDesign, develop, and deliver end‑to‑end full‑stack features across frontend (React / React Native) and backend (Java, Spring Boot)Build and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs using a spec‑driven, API‑first approachDevelop and integrate web and mobile UIs with backend services to support complete user journeysDesign and optimize data models and persistence layers (PostgreSQL or similar)Implement secure, scalable solutions with proper authentication and authorization (OAuth, RBAC)Ensure high standards for performance, resilience, reliability, and maintainabilityTechnical LeadershipAct as a technical lead and hands‑on architect, owning key design and implementation decisionsDesign reusable components, shared services, and common frameworks aligned with enterprise architecture standardsReview code and designs to ensure best practices in quality, security, and scalabilityGuide adoption of cloud‑native and modern engineering practices (AWS preferred)Bring practical experience with AI‑enabled and agentic development approaches into solution design where applicableTeam & Delivery LeadershipLead and mentor full‑stack engineers while remaining actively involved in day‑to‑day developmentSet clear technical standards, development practices, and engineering discipline across the teamParticipate directly in sprint planning, technical refinement, estimates, and trade‑off discussionsPartner with product, design, and architecture to clarify requirements and drive executionSupport structured delivery by balancing hands‑on execution with planning, dependency management, and risk awarenessStakeholder CollaborationWork closely with cross‑functional and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutionsCommunicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical audiencesSupport client‑facing engagements through hands‑on problem solving and technical credibilityQualificationsRequired Skills10+ years of overall software engineering experience with significant hands‑on full‑stack developmentStrong, current coding experience in:Frontend: React and/or React NativeBackend: Java, Spring BootAPIs: REST and GraphQLExperience designing and working with relational data stores (PostgreSQL preferred)Experience delivering cloud‑based solutions (AWS preferred)Solid understanding of application security, including OAuth, RBAC, and secure API designProven ability to lead engineers while remaining deeply hands‑onExperience working in structured, enterprise delivery environmentsStrong problem‑solving, debugging, and performance‑tuning skillsExcellent communication skills and comfort operating in client‑facing settingsPreferred / Good To HaveExperience in wealth management, financial services, or other regulated industriesExposure to AI frameworks, LLMs, or agentic development patterns in production systemsExperience designing and deploying services using API gatewaysFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practicesAdditional InformationPay Range: $162,000 - $240,000The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient.
