Territory General Manager

Territory General The Territory General Manager is responsible for the overall sales productivity and effectiveness of designated store locations. The Territory General Manager leads store personnel and supports their essential sales functions including planning, reporting, quota setting, sales training, and sales program implementation which optimizes the sale of all retail and services provided by Bane-Welker Equipment. Principal Responsibilities: Leads and coaches the store team to develop deep customer relationships resulting in the achievement of agreed-upon location sales, margins, market share, and absorption expectations, suitable for company sustainability and profitable growth. Achieves expected sales and margins across all departments by holding the store team accountable for regularly contacting customers and marketing programs including on-farm customer calls, follow-up, professional in-store customer service, and successful marketing activities and events. Coaches employees on effective customer interactions, leveraging Bane-Welker processes and values to ensure effective sales calls, customer engagement, and prospects in ways that foster an environment of customer responsiveness and adaptability. Stays current with area trends and serves as a consulting and marketing resource to ensure that store management and all departments are meeting customer needs and realizing growth opportunities. Maintains effective relationships with the community, including local lenders, agronomists, and schools, and achieves manufacturer requirements. Attracts, leads, develops, and retains talent that results in a team that is highly aligned with Bane-Welker values and is highly productive and motivated. Develops and holds the team accountable through effective use of coaching, touchpoints, employee development plans, training, and the proper use of promotions, rewards, and disciplinary tools. Engages store workforce by communicating Bane-Welker's vision, mission, values, and plans, with regular progress updates. Works with the Regional General Manager to lead local networking, recruiting, and hiring of employees for their location. Accountable for meeting and exceeding Bane-Welker location standards including visual appeal, safety, security, cleanliness, and organization as well as employee professionalism. Creates and executes a Bane-Welker store business plan, including budgets, that results in shared financial success and strong absorption for the ESOP and all stakeholders. Establishes, monitors, and communicates performance against budget and adjusts direction as needed to meet store goals including sales, market share, expenses, and profit on an ongoing basis. To ensure effective cash flow holds the store team accountable to utilize processes regularly and efficiently to minimize risk, achieve timely settlements, optimize inventory turns, and maintain acceptable WIP. Utilize Bane-Welker programs and promotions effectively to deepen customer relationships. Requirements of Position: Demonstrate strong supervisory and leadership skills through internal and external performance. Proven ability to maintain customer relationships and cultivate new customers for future growth. Demonstrate leadership, tact, and knowledge in assigning and instructing personnel. Demonstrate organizational ability and systematic timing. Ability to demonstrate the core values of Bane-Welker. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Travel as needed, must have a valid driver’s license.
