Overview We are seeking a dedicated Medical Gas Plumber to join our specialized construction and healthcare installation team. This role involves the precise installation, maintenance, and repair of medical gas systems within healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, construction plumbing expertise, and a thorough understanding of schematics and blueprints. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to critical healthcare infrastructure projects while developing advanced technical skills in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Install, assemble, and test medical gas piping systems according to detailed blueprints and schematics. Read and interpret construction plans, mechanical drawings, and schematics related to medical gas installations. Utilize hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding apparatus, and other construction tools to complete installations. Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely on construction sites. Conduct system inspections, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs or modifications as needed. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards for medical gas systems. Collaborate with project managers, HVAC technicians, carpenters, and other trades to coordinate installation activities. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and system configurations. Assist in remodeling or renovation projects involving medical gas infrastructure upgrades. Support site cleanup and organization to uphold a safe working environment. Experience MUST HAVE ACTIVE MEDICAL GAS LICENSE Proven experience in construction plumbing with a focus on medical gas systems preferred. Knowledge of welding techniques relevant to piping installations. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings. Hands-on experience with pipe threading, assembly, and mechanical installation processes. Understanding of HVAC systems and their integration into building infrastructure is advantageous. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery safely and effectively. Prior work on construction sites or commercial projects demonstrating adherence to safety protocols. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and system specifications. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or ability to obtain one is a plus. Additional handyman experience or remodeling background is beneficial for versatile project support.
