Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Fulltime position with a client located in Chestnut Hill, MA. Salary Range: $120,000 to $130,000/ Year(The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors) Title: Data EngineerLocation: Chestnut Hill, MA Overview: We are looking for a Data Engineer who is eager to be an integral part of this digital transformation journey. You will integrate data across business systems, design models that drive portfolio-level insight, and build the data infrastructure behind emerging generative AI and automation tools. This is a high-impact role with the opportunity to shape how data engineering is done at, contribute to meaningful AI initiatives, and grow alongside a team that is still early in its journey and building fast.The ideal candidate is a results-oriented professional with a strong mix of technical depth, communication skills, and business acumen, with the ability to understand business concepts and translate them into valuable technical solutions. They embrace AI as a tool to work faster, build better, and push the boundaries of what a small team can deliver. This role will provide significant exposure to the organization and senior leadership as well as to a broad range of business domains and company initiatives. RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.2-4+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or closely related role.Strong hands-on experience with modern data stack tools, including Snowflake, dbt, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, and Azure. Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling; proficiency in Python for data pipeline development and automation.Comfortable leveraging AI tools such as coding assistants and LLMs to accelerate development, automate repetitive tasks, and build more effective solutions.Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD deployment workflows.Preferred QualificationsExperience with BI tools, particularly Power BI, including an understanding of how data models serve downstream reporting.Familiarity with generative AI concepts, LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic), or emerging AI frameworks and tooling.Benefits include but are not limited to:Medical/Dental/Vision401KPTO/Paid HolidaysTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please visit https://www.akkodis.com/en/privacy-policy.
