Fairview Skilled RehabJob OverviewFairview Rehab is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and clinically driven Limited Permit Registered Nurse (RN) to join our interdisciplinary team within our skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. This role is ideal for nursing graduates who have completed their nursing education and are awaiting NCLEX licensure while working under a valid New York State Limited Permit.The Limited Permit RN will work closely with nursing leadership, rehabilitation therapists, physicians, and support staff to provide exceptional patient-centered care to residents recovering from surgery, illness, injury, or complex medical conditions.ResponsibilitiesAssist in providing direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environmentMonitor residents’ conditions and report changes to supervising RN, physician, or clinical leadershipSupport rehabilitation goals by collaborating with physical, occupational, and speech therapy teamsAdminister medications and treatments under the supervision and guidelines of New York State regulationsAccurately document care, progress notes, vitals, and resident observations in the electronic medical record systemParticipate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary team discussionsAssist with admissions, discharges, and transitions of carePromote resident comfort, dignity, safety, and emotional well-beingMaintain infection control standards and follow facility protocols and policiesBuild positive relationships with residents, families, and staff membersQualificationsGraduate of an accredited nursing programActive New York State Limited Permit for Registered Nursing requiredCPR/BLS Certification preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced rehabilitation and long-term care environmentCompassionate, team-oriented, and eager to learnPrevious clinical experience in rehab, long-term care, hospital, or subacute settings is a plusWhat We OfferSupportive and team-oriented environmentHands-on experience in skilled nursing and rehabilitation careOpportunity for growth and mentorship from experienced nursing leadershipExposure to complex clinical cases and interdisciplinary rehabilitation careCompetitive salary and benefits packageFlexible scheduling opportunitiesWork SettingSkilled Nursing FacilityRehabilitation CenterLong-Term CareLicense/CertificationNew York State Limited Permit RN (Required)ExperienceNursing clinical rotations or healthcare experience preferred but not requiredJoin a team dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality rehabilitation and nursing care while helping residents regain strength, independence, and confidence every day.
