Job Description Warehouse Associate Location: Palmetto, FL 34221Employment Type: Full-TimeTemporary to Permanent Pay:$17.00/hourPay increase upon permanent hire: $18.00–$19.00/hourImportant Requirements (Read Before Applying)Clean background and drug test (Drug test conducted in person)Non-smoker (smoking not permitted on site)Schedule Monday – FridayShift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (most needed)Overtime as neededOccasional weekend work may be requiredJob Overview:We are hiring Warehouse Associates for a busy distribution center that supports construction jobsites nationwide. This role is responsible for receiving, organizing, packing, and shipping building materials accurately and efficiently. This position is essential to keeping projects on schedule and ensuring materials arrive safely and on time.Key Responsibilities:Receive inbound materials by unloading trucks and inspecting shipmentsVerify materials against purchase orders and resolve discrepanciesLabel boxes, organize pallets, and store materials in designated locationsMove materials to and from production lines and staging areasPick, kit, and stage materials by project for outbound shipmentsInspect, wrap, weigh, and load pallets for shipmentAssist with inventory control, including cycle counts and material transfersSafely operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, stackers, scissor lifts)o Training and certification providedUse handheld scanners and tablets to process tasks and document materialsFollow on-screen instructions and troubleshoot basic issuesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environmentPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to push carts weighing up to 60 poundsAbility to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, push, and pull throughout the shiftAbility to use carts, dollies, and hand trucksAbility to climb stairs where applicableAbility to work at heights up to 40 feet or on a mezzanine (where applicable)Ability to work in a physically active environmentQualifications:Must be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent requiredPrior warehouse experience and forklift certification preferred but not requiredBasic computer skills (email and warehouse systems)Ability to read and interpret part numbersStrong basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication)Reliable transportation and dependable attendanceAbility to follow safety, quality, and productivity standardsStrong work ethic and attention to detailTurret truck Experience preferredDress Code / PPELong pants (jeans or khakis; clothing may get dirty)T-shirts or polos permitted (no offensive messages)Closed-toe shoes requiredSafety vest providedWhy This Opportunity?Temp-to-perm opportunity with pay increaseClean, climate-controlled facilityOngoing work with fluctuating weekly needsConversion Opportunity & Client Benefits (Upon Permanent Hire) Top-performing associates may be offered permanent employment with pay up to $18.00–$20.00/hour and access to a competitive benefits package, which may include: Core BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insuranceCompany Description We are a staffing company dedicated to connecting you with long-term career opportunities.
