SR Cloud Security Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Lead to join the Cloud Security organization. This individual will be responsible for securing cloud environments, evaluating emerging cloud services, conducting security reviews, implementing security controls, and driving remediation efforts across multiple application and infrastructure teams.This role requires a strong combination of technical cloud security expertise, security governance knowledge, and leadership capability. The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading security initiatives, partnering with stakeholders across the organization, and driving security improvements from identification through resolution.Key ResponsibilitiesCloud Security & Risk ManagementLead the identification, assessment, and prioritization of security risks across cloud environments. Perform security reviews of cloud services, applications, and architectures. Identify security control deficiencies and recommend appropriate remediation strategies. Conduct threat and risk assessments for cloud-based solutions. Evaluate new cloud technologies and services to ensure they meet security requirements. Security Controls & ArchitectureDesign, recommend, and implement security controls for cloud platforms. Establish and promote consistent security standards across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments. Monitor security controls to ensure they are operating effectively. Review control outputs, investigate findings, and drive remediation activities. Partner with infrastructure and application teams to implement secure cloud solutions. Security Governance & ComplianceOwn cloud security compliance requirements and security guidelines. Identify non-compliant configurations and security gaps. Lead remediation efforts to address compliance and security findings. Support development and maintenance of security policies, standards, procedures, and best practices. Ensure security controls align with organizational and regulatory requirements. Project & Initiative LeadershipLead security-related roadmap initiatives from planning through execution. Serve as the security lead for cloud transformation, network security, and platform security projects. Drive accountability across multiple teams to ensure security issues are remediated in a timely manner. Coordinate security improvements across infrastructure, cloud, and application teams. Leadership & CollaborationAct as a technical leader within the Cloud Security team. Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on security best practices. Collaborate with technology, engineering, architecture, and operations teams. Provide backup support for management functions as needed. Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives across the security organization. Required Qualifications 7+ years of Information Security experience. 3+ years of Cloud Security experience supporting enterprise environments. Strong experience securing cloud platforms, including:AWS Microsoft Azure GCP (preferred) Experience conducting security architecture reviews and risk assessments. Strong understanding of cloud security controls, governance, and compliance requirements. Experience identifying security findings and driving remediation efforts across multiple teams. Ability to lead security initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience working in highly regulated or compliance-driven environments. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience serving as a Security Lead or Senior Security Engineer. 2-3+ years leading projects, initiatives, or cross-functional security programs. Experience securing AI, platform, or enterprise cloud environments. Knowledge of network security, cloud networking, and cloud infrastructure security. Familiarity with security frameworks such as:NIST CIS Controls ISO 27001 Preferred CertificationsAWS Security Certification(s) Microsoft Azure Security Certification(s) CCSP CISSP Other relevant cloud security certifications Team EnvironmentResponsibilitiesThis role is part of the Cloud Security/AI & Platform Security organization and will focus on securing enterprise cloud environments.
