Job Description Assembler IITorrance, CAPay: $22.96 per hourShift: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM26-05426 Job SummaryThe Assembler II is responsible for performing electronic assembly, repair, and testing activities within a manufacturing environment. This role supports both internal and external customers by assembling, soldering, inspecting, and repairing electronic components while adhering to quality, safety, and productivity standards. The Assembler II works collaboratively within a team environment and reports directly to the Production Supervisor.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform electronic assembly and repair of surface mount and through-hole componentsExecute hand soldering and de-soldering activities in accordance with work instructions and quality standardsUtilize measuring equipment, test equipment, and hand tools including air drivers, screwdrivers, wrenches, presses, and tooling fixturesRead and interpret schematics, drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing documentationInspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirementsSupport a safe, clean, and organized work environmentParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and operational growthFollow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and manufacturing processesAssist in maintaining the compatibility and safety of electrical systems and assembliesJob RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institutionMust reside within 50 miles of Torrance, CAMust be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorshipBasic computer skills, math skills, and ability to read and understand work instructions and drawingsAbility to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environmentAbility to use color recognition to identify electronic componentsPreferred QualificationsPrevious electronics manufacturing experienceExperience with hand soldering and electronic assembly1–2 years of hand soldering experienceAbility to read and understand schematics and manufacturing drawingsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredWork ExperiencePrior electronics manufacturing and assembly experience preferred1–2 years of hand soldering experience preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods, approximately 8 hours per dayContinuous use of hands, arms, and shoulders for assembly operationsAbility to handle small and intricate components with precision and finger dexterityFrequent lifting of up to 10 poundsOccasional lifting of up to 25 poundsVisual ability to inspect work, read drawings, and identify color-coded componentsAbility to work in confined workspaces with limited movement in certain areasWork EnvironmentManufacturing environment with continuous machine noise during operationExposure to solder fumes, flux, thinner, and other manufacturing chemicalsIndoor facility environmentRegular overtime may be required throughout the yearPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) required, including safety glasses and ESD smock at all times; protective gloves may be required for specific applications#ZR
