Company DescriptionWe suggest you enter details here.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Funeral Home Assistant at Cresthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery, located in Bedford, IN. The Funeral Home Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of duties to support the daily operations of the funeral home and cemetery. Tasks may include assisting with funeral services and memorial events, cemetery maintenance and mausoleum maintenance, maintaining records and paperwork, and providing support in the crematory. Additional responsibilities may include, managing the cemetery, and ensuring the funeral home, cemetery and mausoleum appearance is professional and welcoming to the families we serve.QualificationsStrong listening and interpersonal communication skillsAdaptability and organizational skillExperience as an emcee or public speaker is a plusAbility to maintain professionalism and compassion in emotionally charged environmentsComfortable with administrative tasks and record-keepingAbility to work effectively as part of a teamAdditional QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; further education in mortuary science or related field is a plusPrevious experience in a funeral home or related environment is beneficialBasic computer and office skills
