Welding Supervisor - 1st Shift
Description Kapco has invested in state-of-the-art welding equipment and needs a Welding Supervisor to be part of the future growth and expansion. The Welding Supervisor supervises manufacturing employees in a heavy production environment. Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, working conditions and other production-related activities. Requires industrial management or supervision experience. Kapco Inc. is looking for a Welding Supervisor for First Shift at our Grafton, WI facility. The ideal candidate for this position would be able to do the following:Through coordination with the welding leads supervise and maintain all welding operations for designated shift(s) safelyReview work orders and assign jobs to appropriate personnelSupervise the manufacture of quality product that ships on scheduleStop production to prevent non-conforming product manufactureOrder all welding suppliesVerify that production rates are metPromote continuous improvement and safetyIdentify and acquire any controls, processes, equipment, fixtures, resources and skills that are needed to achieve the required qualityProvide training, testing, career development and evaluations for subordinatesFacilitate MDI (Manage for Daily Improvement) audits and communicationsOther duties as assignedAbout Kapco Metal StampingKapco is known for investing in its people and creating a culture of engagement, and is equally as committed to giving back to the community.
