DescriptionAccounting ClerkNumbers person with a knack for staying organized and keeping things running smoothly?The Accounting Clerk supports daily accounting operations for the hotel, including accounts payable, general cashier, income audit, and accounts receivable functions. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while maintaining compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.Schedule & PaySchedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PMPay Range: From $20 per hour, commensurate with experienceConsistent weekday schedule – no nights or weekendsCompetitive hourly rate based on experienceWhy Our Accounting Team Loves Working HereCompetitive pay based on experienceMatching 401(k) and profit-sharingHealth benefits available after 30 days for full-time associatesFree and discounted meals & StarbucksFree Marcus Theatre movie ticketsHotel discounts at Hyatt and Marcus Hotels & Resorts propertiesFree parkingA supportive team environment focused on People Pleasing PeopleWhat You’ll DoAs an Accounting Clerk, you will play an important role in supporting the hotel’s financial operations and ensuring accuracy behind the scenes.Responsibilities include:Process invoices, check requests, and expense reports accurately and in a timely mannerMaintain and reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable recordsRecord and balance daily cash activity, including cash drops and variancesMaintain the hotel safe, house banks, and petty cashCode and submit petty cash receipts for processingSupport daily income audit by reviewing transactions, adjustments, and reportsRoute rebates and promotional items while maintaining proper audit documentationAssist with accounts receivable, including billing, account setup, and collectionsManage purchase orders and ensure receiving accuracyPrepare reports and assist with month-end processesRespond to inquiries from associates, guests, and vendors in a timely and professional mannerAssist with guest billing questions or discrepancies as neededMaintain organized and accurate financial records and filesSupport the team and assist with other duties as assignedWhat We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, stays organized, and takes pride in accuracy and follow-through.
