Artisan Bread Specialist

FULL TIME POSITION- OPEN AVAILABILITY INCLUDING WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS REQUIRED- EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE REQUIRED- MUST ENJOY BREAD AND THE BAKERY$15.00 - $19.89 PER HOUR GENERAL PURPOSE:The purpose of this position is to educate and develop relationships with our customers and continually grow sales in the artisan bread category. This person will be cutting artisan breads for customers using slicers and knives, preparing, baking, and packaging crostini, sampling products at the artisan counter and throughout the store, stocking the artisan counter, and providing exceptional customer service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Follows established departmental and store policies and proceduresEnsures the quality and freshness of all products and services the bakery providesResponsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the artisan bread counterConfirms pricing accuracy and signage for all artisan bread products, paying particular attention to ad itemsEnsures the artisan area is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearanceDelivers excellent customer service to all customersEducates customers about ingredients, flavor, cooking suggestions, and caring for Harmons' artisan breadsRemoves prior day's bread from the shelf and tracks wasteEnsures that artisan breads and rolls are displayed all day throughout the store including the salad bar areaPrepares, packages, labels, and displays crostiniActively promotes and sells artisan bread through sampling at the service counter and throughout the storeMARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs other job-related duties as assigned.NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS:Consistent and daily interaction with store associatesConsistent and daily interaction with customersTRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
