Automation Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role Serve as the site expert for maintaining critical automation systems that support operations. Maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks. Monitor equipment performance metrics, partnering with maintenance and operations to address issues and provide analysis. Provide first-level escalation support for site technicians, both locally and remotely. Perform and analyze building system assessments to enhance material handling system performance.What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent, or 2+ years of PLC programming or automation engineering experience. Experience in PLC-based controls design, development, implementation, and support. Experience with Ladder Logic and structured programming for PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys). Experience with industrial control systems, both hardware and software. Experience with material handling, flow, and capacity concepts. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.What's On Offer Competitive annual salary of $90,000 - $112,500 USD.
