Production Supervisor

Position Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing operations team. This position will be responsible for supervising and coordinating daily shift activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, and will be able to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving production environment. This role reports directly to the Production Manager and requires availability for a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including coverage for other shifts and occasional presence on scheduled days off for training or critical support.Key Responsibilities:Shift Supervision: Oversee the daily operations of a 12-hour production shift, ensuring all personnel perform their roles safely and efficiently. Maintain a clear and productive workflow aligned with company goals.Shift Coverage & Flexibility: Be available to cover other shifts as needed due to absence or demand. Attend the facility on scheduled days off if required for training, audits, or process reviews.Production Reporting: Ensure all MES (Manufacturing Execution System) entries are closed and accurate at the end of each shift. Validate that all production records, logs, and documentation are fully completed before shift handover.Communication & Shift Handover: Share a comprehensive shift report daily, clearly outlining performance, challenges, downtime events, safety issues, and quality concerns. Communicate openly and effectively with incoming and outgoing shifts, as well as with peers and leadership.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and other support departments to ensure line performance and issue resolution. Foster a collaborative environment that supports the success of the entire operations team.Coaching & Mentorship: Actively coach and mentor team members to enhance performance and build a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement. Provide constructive feedback and support development plans for team members.Data-Driven Leadership: Utilize production data, OEE metrics, scrap rates, and downtime logs to drive improvements. Identify trends and implement corrective actions based on analysis and team input.Training & Development: Support and participate in training programs for both new hires and current employees. Lead by example in learning and adopting new technologies and processes.Technology & Systems Proficiency: Develop proficiency in production technologies, machinery, and reporting tools. Ensure team members are also trained and held accountable for technology use and reporting accuracy.Retention & Engagement: Support retention strategies by fostering a positive and inclusive team culture. Address team concerns proactively and align with HR when needed to resolve issues.Urgency & Prioritization: Maintain a strong sense of urgency in addressing issues that affect safety, quality, or production flow. Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely resolution and minimal disruption.Offsite Participation: Be available to participate in offsite meetings, training, or company events as required. Represent the production team professionally and contribute to broader organizational goals.Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing supervisory roleStrong leadership and people management skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationProficient in using MES systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data reporting toolsAbility to analyze data and make informed decisionsFlexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as requiredDemonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and lead a diverse teamUnderstanding of safety, quality, and lean manufacturing principlesWorking Conditions:Full-time, 12-hour rotating shiftsManufacturing floor and office environmentsOccasional offsite travel for meetings or trainingOn-call availability in emergencies or critical needsJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programRetirement planVision insuranceWork Location: In person
