SAP Basis Specialist - Full Remote - Contract & FreelanceFull Remote with occasional travel to Zurich (Kick off, occasional on-site meetings).On behalf of one of our clients, a major player in its sector, we are looking for an SAP Basis Specialist.Start : ASAPDuration : more than 6 monthsResponsibilities:Act as the technical owner of SAP systems, ensuring compliance with SLAs regarding availability, performance, and backup/restoreMaintain multi-landscape environments through system refreshes, SAP/Database upgrades, and support package campaignsBe part of the SAP technical team, including release management and Focused Build technical supportResearch and propose Basis solutions (performance monitoring, tuning, system configuration)Serve as the point of contact for all Basis-related matters and coordinate with other IT Tech LeadsProfile required:Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis technical administration (on-premise and cloud environments)Expertise in SAP system administration: configuration, installation, upgrades, certificate management, patchingSolid knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (architecture, technical requirements, best practices)Familiarity with change management frameworks (CHARM, Focused Build)Strong understanding of SAP security principles (roles, profiles, authorizations)Experience in performance monitoring/tuning, ideally via Cloud ALM (Solution Manager a plus)Knowledge of SAP backup and disaster recovery methodsFluent English; German is a plus
