Creative Services Project Manager (Contract)
Dr. Schulze's American Botanical Pharmacy, located in Marina Del Rey, is a natural health and wellness leader. We are seeking an experienced and energetic team member who wants to make a difference by creating and maintaining a best-in-class Creative Services department, thus supporting our vision for a healthier world.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, creative production, in print and digital and a keen eye for design. As Creative Services Project Manager, this role will be responsible for leading and running the department with one direct report as well as outside vendors, so there is consistent and timely delivery of all projects at the highest standards (on time and on budget). This role will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective allocation of resources, managing workflow, and optimizing processes for print and digital projects that are initiated by various departments. Key ResponsibilitiesBe a strategic manager to lead the department in a proactive manner in terms of team, resouroces, organization, systems and protocolEstablish and follow project management processes that streamline input/output of all CS projectsAllocate resources, including designers, printers, and materials, based on project specifications and timelinesNegotiate with print vendors and suppliers to ensure the selection of the most suitable printing methods and materials in the most cost-effective mannerOversee printing projects to ensure that the final products meet quality standards and deadlinesManage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and reporting on budget variancesLead, manage and coach Production ArtistUtilize design skills to jump in and make necessary design edits and template based digital and print designsCollaborate with team on projects, as neededCommunicate in a timely manner with all stakeholders on the progress of their projects, creating and posting status reports of all department activitiesDevelop project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure efficient project executionReview and provide constructive feedback on design concepts, mock-ups, and final deliverables prior to sharing with the project ownerManage the inventory of creative materials and production items such as labels so they are never in backorderReview servers and file organization to make sure they are easily accessible by all partiesQualifications:Bachelor's degree with studies in project management, graphic design, print production, or a related field3+ years managing a creative services department or team5+ years in Project Management, with proven experience in creative resource management, with a focus on print projectsStrong understanding of print production processes, materials, and techniquesProficiency in project management software and toolsProven design skills to support departmental peaks and backlogsExcellent communication and leadership skillsExceptional attention to detail and organizational abilitiesBudget management experienceAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentExhibits a mature and level-headed presence in the companyNatural tendency to own projects and overcome obstacles to successful completion
