Accounting/Office Intern
Summary We are hiring a driven Accounting/Office Intern with a basic understanding of financial principles and terms who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience. Working under the supervision of the director, the Accounting/Office will be able to apply their knowledge and skills in a professional setting while gaining experience performing a variety of duties.. Responsibilities Shadow members of the MS Technology Accounting, Project, and Office teamas they perform their duties. Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records. Provide support on Accounts Payable (AP) duties, such as processing AP transactions, entering vendor invoices, and matching invoices to purchase orders. Assist with Accounts Receivables (AR) duties by preparing invoices and processing incoming payments. Provide support with the Purchasing process and office supplies. Preparation of project control reports. Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity. Other job duties and special projects as assigned or requested. Education / Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Actively enrolled in a college program preferably seeking degree in Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, or similiar. Additional Skills Excellent customer service and communications/interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and managers, and external contacts. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to perform a variety of concurrent tasks and is process-orientated with high attention to detail. Must understand and apply prioritization to work and projects with a strong ability to time manage. Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint.
