This role assists in maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, while ensuring compliance with Colorado Office of Early Childhood (OEC) licensing regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesStep into classrooms as needed (infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-K)Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of all childrenSupport daily routines including feeding, diapering, toileting, and activitiesFollow lesson plans or assist with age-appropriate activitiesMaintain required staff-to-child ratios at all timesAdapt quickly to different classrooms, age groups, and team dynamicsFollow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelinesCommunicate effectively with staff and leadership at both locationsHelp maintain a clean, organized classroom environmentQualifications (Colorado Requirements)Must be at least 18 years of ageMust complete PDIS trainings2+ years of verifiable experience with childrenFlexible availability and reliable transportation between both locationsExperience with multiple age groups preferredRequired CertificationsCPR & First Aid (Infant/Child) certification (or willingness to obtain)Universal Precautions trainingBackground check and fingerprinting per Colorado regulationsSkills & CompetenciesFlexibility and adaptabilityStrong teamwork and communication skillsPositive, nurturing attitude with childrenAbility to quickly build rapport with staff and childrenPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 35 poundsFrequent movement, including bending, sitting, and active playAbility to respond quickly to children's needs
