This executive-level role is responsible for a wide range of financial activities, including budgeting, general accounting, grants administration, debt management, cost allocation, financial reporting, and support of the annual financial audit. The Interim CFO will provide strategic financial planning, ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, and serve as a key advisor to the Board of Commissioners and other senior officials. Essential duties include preparing the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, overseeing the budget and capital improvement program, and engaging in in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making.Candidates for the Interim CFO position at the company should have a bachelor's degree in a related field, with a preference for a master's degree, and a minimum of 15 years of professional experience in financial management, including at least five years in an executive leadership role. Knowledge of government financial laws and regulations is essential, as is experience with a modern Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work with diverse audiences, and a strong background in governmental accounting, public finance, and financial analysis.
