Vice President of Finance And Operations

POSITION SUMMARYThe Vice President of Finance and Operations will be a strategic leader of operational excellence for our finance, accounting, and information systems activities that align with organizational objectives. They will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the business by leveraging their deep understanding of the Company’s operations to formulate and implement operational strategy. This role partners cross-functionally with executive leadership to optimize systems, strengthen financial controls, and implement data-driven decision-making processes.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOversee enterprise systems, internal platforms, accounting ops, sales ops, and financial compliance.Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.Support the COO in leading the business operations across the organization by assessing processes, identifying opportunities, and executing solutions that align with the Company’s overall strategy.Lead cross-functional initiatives across internal departments to support unparalleled collaboration, scalable systems, and policies to support growth.Ensure the organization applies continuous improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and build a culture of operational excellence.Responsible for operational effectiveness, establishing priorities, and delegating improvements to direct reports as necessary.Responsible for the organization’s IS infrastructure, comprehensive financial and sales operations.Collaborate closely with executive management and department heads to support organizational goals, foster strong cross-functional relationships, and maintain partnerships with external teams.Build and lead high-performing teams across IS, Finance, Accounting, and Sales OperationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSA minimum of 13+ years of experience in operations, finance, and/or information systems, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related fieldProven experience managing both finance and IT functions in a mid-sized organization and revenues of ~500+ million.Strong understanding of ERP systems, financial reporting, and technology infrastructure.Demonstrated ability to lead digital transformation or systems implementation projects.Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.Strong communication skills with the ability to influence executive stakeholders.Creative thinker, problem solver, and proactiveAbility to be a strong team player and communicator in a multi-cultural environmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMBA or CPA preferredExperience working and leading in a Japanese Company preferredFluency in written and verbal Japanese
