System/Field Application Engineer

Job DescriptionOur ASIC engineering team focuses on silicon design, bring‑up, and validation, ensuring reliable integration of high‑speed interfaces and close collaboration with firmware, system, and customers to enable successful product deployment.We are seeking a System Application Engineer / FAE to support customer system bring-up, validation, and issue debugging across hardware, firmware, and SDK layers. This role works closely with customers and internal teams to validate system hardware and PCB functionality, integrate FW/SDK, and ensure reliable operation across interfaces such as HBM, PCIe, SerDes, and UCIe.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport customer system bring-up, including hardware, firmware, and SDK integrationAssist with system validation, lab testing, and post-silicon characterizationCollect and analyze lab data to evaluate system robustness and operating marginsPerform basic HSIO testing (signal integrity checks, eye diagrams, BER)Help debug customer issues across HW/FW/SDK boundaries and support root-cause analysisWork with firmware teams to validate features, configurations, and system behaviorDocument issues and validation results clearly and conciselyCollaborate with design, firmware, validation, and marketing teams to support customersRequirementRequired Qualifications1–5 years of experience in system validation, hardware bring-up, or technical customer supportBasic understanding of system hardware and firmware interactionFamiliarity with high-speed interfaces and protocols such as PCIe, SerDes, I2C, and JTAGExperience working with firmware or SDKs for system configuration, debug, or validationHands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies)Good communication skills and ability to work directly with customersPreferred QualificationsExposure to HBM, UCIe, or other high-speed memory/interconnect technologiesBasic knowledge of signal integrity and power integrityExperience debugging issues involving drivers, firmware, or SDK APIsScripting or data analysis experience (Python, MATLAB)Prior experience in a System Application Engineer or FAE roleSalary range: $116,000 - $203,000 annually.Employee may be eligible for performance bonus, short and long term incentive programs. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
