Java Developer Location: Washington, DC Classification: Exempt Compensation: $9 0k to $110k Clearance: Secret Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Java Developer to support the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-level and government systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong Java expertise along with experience in complementary technologies within a structured, compliance-driven environment. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based applications supporting government and enterprise systemsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and system administrators to deliver high-quality solutionsDevelop and integrate APIs to support interoperability and secure data exchangeContribute to system architecture, technical design, and documentation effortsEnsure application performance, security, and reliability through adherence to best practicesSupport application deployment through CI/CD pipelines and automation toolsTroubleshoot, analyze, and resolve system defects and production issuesEnsure compliance with government standards, policies, and security requirements Required QualificationsSecret clearance, TS eligibilityBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field5 yrs of experience in Java development with strong proficiency in Java (JDK 8 or higher)Core understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principlesExperience with:Java Collections FrameworkMultithreading and concurrencyException handling best practicesHands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworksExperience with Hibernate/JPA for database interactionsFamiliarity with API integrations (RESTful and web services)Hands-on experience with Eclipse IDEFamiliarity with IntelliTrack Entellitrak platformUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processesExperience supporting enterprise-level or government systemsWorking knowledge of Microsoft technology stack, including: * .NET frameworkC#, Visual Basic (VB)Experience with SQL Server 2017 (or newer) and T-SQL Preferred QualificationsExperience with reporting and UI tools such as Jaspersoft Studio and DevExpressFamiliarity with hybrid technology environments integrating Java and .NET solutionsExperience working in Agile or hybrid development environmentsKnowledge of secure coding practices and government compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA)Familiarity with version control systems such as GitExperience with relational databases and data modeling Work EnvironmentAbility to work effectively in a structured, compliance-driven environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholdersCommitment to delivering secure, high-quality, and maintainable solutions About IntelliDyne IntelliDyne, LLC is a market-leading IT Services firm that has been delivering Above and Beyond consulting services to Government and Commercial clients for more than a decade.
