Position Type:Middle School TeachingDate Posted:4/23/2026Location:DistrictDescription:Anticipated Spanish Teacher for 2026/2027Job Summary:This position is for a Spanish Teache rposition at Leonard V Moore Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year Qualifications/Responsibilities:Valid New Jersey Teaching Certification in Spanish or World LanguagesBachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferredExperience teaching middle school students (preferred)Strong knowledge of second language acquisition strategiesAbility to engage and motivate adolescent learnersExcellent classroom management and organizational skillsStrong communication and collaboration skillsPreferred Experince Experience working in urban or diverse school settingsFamiliarity with SEL practices and restorative approachesExperience integrating technology into instructionBilingual (Spanish/English) proficiencyKey Responsibilities:Plan and deliver standards-based Spanish instruction for grades 5 8Develop engaging lessons that promote communication and language acquisitionIntegrate cultural components into daily instructionDifferentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with IEPs and 504 PlansAssess student progress and use data to inform instructionMaintain a positive classroom environment with effective management strategiesCollaborate with grade-level teams, special education staff, and administrationCommunicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progressParticipate in school-wide initiatives, including Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) programsSupervise students during assigned duties (e.g., lunch, recess, hallway transitions)Strong classroom management and consistency with setting rituals and routines.
