This role is ideal for a DevOps-minded software engineer with strong GitLab, Git, Python, Bash, Linux, containers, Ansible, and secure pipeline experience. You will collaborate with development teams to automate builds, tests, deployments, artifact workflows, and environment promotion processes across mission software efforts.Required SkillsExperience using the Linux CLI and the Linux suite of toolsExperience developing Bash scripts to automate manual processesRecent software development experience using PythonExperience designing, creating, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CIHands-on experience administering and troubleshooting GitLab RunnersAbility to create reusable CI/CD templates, shared libraries, and automation patterns to support team‑wide adoptionExperience automating build, test, and deployment processes for multiple software development teamsFamiliarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and container registry integration within CI/CD pipelines Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, gathering requirements, and translating them into automated workflowsStrong understanding of core DevOps practices, including environment promotion workflows, artifact storage and versioning, and securing CI/CD pipelinesExperience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and automation frameworks including AnsibleProficiency with Git source control, branching strategies, merge request workflows, and repository managementDesired SkillsExperience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)Knowledge of configuration management, secrets management, and secure credential handling within Ci/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with Agile development practices and supporting SAFe Agile teams with automationMaintains a professional relationship with coffee and a recreational interest in witty exchanges.
