Senior Full-Stack DeveloperLocation: Ottawa, ON (Remote)About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join one of our development squads and help build new features for the 1VALET smart-building platform. This role is hands-on and product-focused, working across the stack — from Angular front-end experiences to.NET backend services — and includes integrations with hardware and third-party vendors (smart locks, entry systems, building systems, etc.). You'll collaborate closely with Product, Hardware, QA, and Operations teams to deliver scalable, reliable features used in live residential and commercial buildings.What You'll DoDesign, build, and maintain end-to-end features across front-end, backend, and data layersDevelop and optimize Angular front-end applications with a focus on performance and usabilityBuild.NET (C#) backend services, APIs, and integrationsWork with MS/Azure SQL for data modelling, querying, and performance optimizationUse Elasticsearch for search, analytics, and log-driven featuresImplement and maintain hardware and vendor integrations (IoT devices, access control systems, third-party APIs)Collaborate with Product Managers to translate requirements into technical solutionsWork with QA to ensure high quality through testing, debugging, and production supportParticipate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical directionSupport and improve existing systems while helping shape new platform capabilitiesWhat You Bring6+ years of professional experience as a Full-Stack DeveloperStrong hands-on experience with:Angular.NET / C# (Web APIs, services)MS/Azure SQL (schema design, performance tuning)ElasticsearchExperience designing and consuming REST APIsExposure to hardware / IoT integrations or complex third-party system integrations (strong asset)Solid understanding of scalable, distributed systemsExperience working in Agile / squad-based teamsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environmentClear communication skills and a collaborative mindsetExperience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Replit AI, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity, code quality, debugging, or prototypingNice to HaveExperience with cloud platforms (Azure)Knowledge of message queues, event-driven systems, or real-time data flowsPrior experience in PropTech, IoT, or building management systemsExperience supporting production systems used by real customers in the fieldWhy Join 1VALETWork on real-world systems deployed in buildings across North AmericaBe part of a platform that blends software, hardware, and operationsHigh ownership, meaningful technical challenges, and visible impactCollaborative, product-driven engineering cultureRemote role with a strong Ottawa-based engineering presenceAI may be used to help filter applications
