Skilled HVAC- 12 MonthReports To: Director of Operations and MaintenanceJob Summary:High school diploma or GED with training in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration. Eight (8) years of verified experience in the HVAC trade of which four years must be at the master level or equivalent, or verified proof of four years of journeyman level experience or equivalent at school system maintenance department in the relative trade, or completion of a trade or technical school program in the relevant. Have a working knowledge of electricity and plumbing skills with added ability to perform limited welding tasks. Hold a valid Alabama driver's license (Class A CDL may be required) and a Universal Refrigerant license. Subject to a drug test as required by law and school-owned vehicles.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneMinimum Qualifications:Education and/or Experience:High school diploma or GED as recognized by the SDE. Possess and maintain valid Alabama driver's license and insurable driving record required. Able to obtain and maintain a CDL with required endorsements.Background clearance through FBI and ABI processes. Meet and follow the health, age and drug screening requirements of TCSS.Language Skills:Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Organized thought processes, polite and respectful of others.Physical Demands:Bend, stoop, crawl, kneel, reach, pull, turn, balance, and climb steps on a daily basis. Use arms and legs in work requirements. Physical dexterity, coordination, mobility, and aural and visual acuity.Work Environment:Training in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
