Title: Mutual Aid Youth Leaders Program Coordinator Work Schedule: Monday -Thursday somewhat flexible hours between the hours of 10:00am - 6:00 p.m., with occasional evening and weekend responsibilities. (Winter hours are from 9:00am - 5:00pm) Up to 32 hours per week. Weekly schedule (or changes) must be vetted/approved by the Executive or Deputy Director. Position Summary: Mutual Aid Youth Leaders Program Coordinator supervises Youth Navigators and oversees the Mutual Aid Youth Leaders project at The Epicenter. Will support in collection and entry of data, including but not limited to Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) database, Coordinated Assessment and Referral System (CARS) assessment, and intake forms. Will support outreach efforts and mobilizing drop-in services for youth experiencing housing insecurity or homelessness. Job duties include: Responsible for data collection and evaluation efforts of program and prepares any reports for data related to project outcomes (i.e. HMIS, CARS assessment, etc). Responsible for coordinating resources to meet the needs of Monterey County youth as they relate to housing, employment, education and wellness resources and opportunities. (i.e. researching resources, resource sharing, and assisting youth with finding services to meet their needs) Ability to uphold best practices when working with youth experiencing homelessness and using the Housing First model. Coordinates monthly life skills workshops held in collaboration with the Youth Navigators Acts as Liaison between The Epicenter and the community of Monterey County. Ensure necessary data is reported to the Epicenter Director and/or Deputy Director in a timely manner. Demonstrates and holds high standards related to work ethic, partnership, personal/interpersonal, professional development and achievement through modeling organizational principles and practices. Forms connections with youth accessing the services offered within the program. Supervises Youth Navigators for program services (i.e. regular check ins, outreach support, etc.) Communicate regularly with the Executive Director/Deputy Director to ensure that project and youth needs are being met when applicable. Participates in bi-weekly staff meetings. Other duties as assigned. Position Structure: Program Coordinator reports to Deputy Director and Executive Director Assists in supervising Youth Navigators, managing data entry and collection for reporting Salary range: Starting at $20 per hour; up to 32 hours per week Flexible hours if needed Paid time off, paid holidays, sick leave, health insurance reimbursement arrangement, and self funded 401k retirement plan available Desired Qualifications: High School diploma required: college credits preferred Experience or ability to navigate HMIS database, CARS assessments, and intake forms Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated abilities to effectively coach youth, resolve diverse problems and act as a support for underserved youth Ability to work in a flexible way that allows for changes in assignments and priorities depending upon identified needs of the program Organizational skills sufficient to prioritize work and complete assignments accurately either independently or as a team.
