Relo Assistance: N/A Start Date : ASAP Job description: We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Mechanical Engineering team. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be creating hardware for use in space applications (geosynchronous orbit, low earth orbit, and deep space) as well as aircraft and defense programs. Must be a self-starter & team player who can take ownership of a project from design to deployment under a rapid pace. Responsibilities: Ownership of the complete product lifecycle of space hardware from initial design concept to production & unit delivery. Perform mechanical analyses (vibration, thermal, radiation) on new product designs to ensure survival to launch and on-orbit environments Rapidly prototype & iterate on designs Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field 3+ years of industry experience with mechanical or electromechanical design, analysis, and/or manufacturing Experience with CAD and FEA software packages, preferably SOLIDWORKS Solid knowledge of GD&T Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience; preferably in design and analysis of electronics/microwave packaging for space applications preferred Knowledge of high mix, low volume manufacturing methods, i.e. CNC manufacturing preferred Previous ownership of component design from concept to aerospace industry qualification and production preferred Rapid prototyping & design iteration preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $75,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Relocation assistance Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Application Question(s): Do you have Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field?
