Field Technician, Pumps and Compressors

Position Title: Field Technician, Pumps and Compressors Reports to: Director of Service and Reliability FLSA status: Non-Exempt Purpose of Position: The Field Technician for Pumps and Compressors will be responsible for maintaining and repairing pumps and air compressors and their related components. If you are selected for this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting problems, replacing parts, carrying out scheduled maintenance, and ensuring air compressors are operating efficiently and safely. Ensuring the pumps and air compressors remain in compliance with all applicable safety regulations is critical. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair all different makes and models of pumps and air compressors Able to install compressors, dryers, line filters, breathing air systems, and other ancillary equipment Performs routine service and preventative maintenance on various makes, models, sizes, and types of pumps and air compressors Maintains acceptable inventory levels on truck and in shop to ensure job responsibilities can be carried out without delay Advise on the use of air compressors and efficient operation Provide technical advice and support to customers Responsible for maintaining all tools and equipment Attention to detail and high standards of quality and cleanliness Ability to document work and provide accurate record keeping of all inspections and maintenance activities Keep up-to-date with the latest industry standards and regulations. Skills and Qualifications 2+ years of experience with installing, repairing and maintaining air compressor systems, required Diesel Mechanic Certification, preferred Refrigeration license (HVAC) is preferred Troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems Ability to diagnose and repair pumps and air compressors Ability to understand technical diagrams Proficiency in using hand tools Familiar with the latest industry technologies and developments Good communication skills Problem solving ability Ability to work independently Must be able to pass a background check and drug test Must possess a valid drivers license and a clean driving record Must be able to pass a DOT Physical to obtain a Medical Card Able to lift 50 lbs. or more repeatedly I have read and understand the expectations for my position at Jack Tyler Engineering.
