Student-Athlete Services - Tutor/Mentor | Open to Current CMU Students

We're actively seeking to hire tutors/mentors in the academics unit here at Central Michigan University Athletics!Position OverviewTutors and mentors will support student-athletes in a variety of academic subjects, while upholding NCAA, CMU, and Academic Center policies.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist students in planning and organizing weekly coursework.Tutor students individually or in small groups, explaining subject matter clearly.Help students develop and use effective learning strategies.Navigate Blackboard and other academic resources with ease.Provide timely feedback to Academic Coordinators via conversations, email, phone, and reports.Submit appointment reports promptly through internal software.Qualifications3.0 cumulative GPA or higher.Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse academic backgrounds.At least one semester of college completed (CMU preferred).For tutors: Minimum grade of B in the course(s) you wish to tutor.Commitment to academic integrity and university/NCAA standards.Hours: Based on your availability.How to ApplyEmail the following to sastutoring@cmich.edu:Application form (attached in job posting)ResumeUnofficial transcriptsTwo completed Character/Skills Reference Forms
