Mid-Level Systems Engineer
Provide engineering expertise to FAA modernization initiatives and integration of operational improvements.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Assist FAA with the preparation and installation of solutions by determining and reviewing system specifications, standards, and programming
Responsible for design documents and presentations, such as technical analysis and alternatives analysis.
Coordination with customers, partners, and stakeholders
Support strategic mission, program mission and investment analysis activities
System engineering activities required to support the necessary data exchanges, information architecture, prototyping, and demonstrations to progress the evolution of the concepts
Review technical documents, designs, and implementation and testing documentation
Provide requirements specification analysis, validation, and tracking
Develop communication and correspondence with stakeholders and internal teams to meet and execute program objectives
Qualifications
Qualified applicants must possess the following skills and qualifications:
US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
6-15 years of relevant experience; FAA experience is preferred with systems engineering, concept development/concept operations and FAA-domain related activities. Reduced years of experience required with advanced degree
Detail-oriented, independent, self-motivated, and a proactive team member
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite – PowerPoint, Word, Project, and Excel
Excellent oral and written communication skills effective with operational, technical, and senior management audiences
Ability to satisfy FAA resume approval processes
Education
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physical sciences
Travel
Limited travel may be required
