Job Title: MDG Material Config/Dev Consultant (Remote, DoD Project)Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizens only)Location: Remote (U.S. based) – occasional travel may be required per DoD client needsClient: Department of Defense (DoD)Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced MDG Material Configuration/Development Consultant to support a Department of Defense (DoD) client in the implementation and optimization of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG). The consultant will play a critical role in configuring, developing, and maintaining MDG Material solutions while ensuring compliance with federal security and data management standards.Key ResponsibilitiesConfigure, develop, and enhance SAP MDG Material processes to meet DoD requirements.Collaborate with business and technical teams to define, document, and implement material master data governance solutions.Perform system configuration for material master, workflows, change request processes, and validation rules.Develop and maintain custom enhancements, data models, validations, and derivations in MDG.Support data migration, cleansing, and harmonization activities to ensure data quality and consistency.Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex issues within MDG processes.Provide support for system upgrades, patches, and integration with other SAP modules (MM, EWM, QM, etc.).Work in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Ensure compliance with DoD data governance, cybersecurity, and audit requirements.Required QualificationsActive Secret Clearance (mandatory).U.S. Citizenship required.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).5+ years of experience in SAP MDG, with strong expertise in MDG Material configuration and development.Hands-on experience with data models, UI modeling, workflow setup, BRF+, validations, and derivations.Strong understanding of SAP MM, EWM, and QM integration points.Experience with data migration tools (SAP Data Services, SLT, etc.).Proficiency in ABAP development for MDG enhancements.Familiarity with DoD projects, compliance, and secure data management practices.Preferred SkillsPrior experience supporting federal or DoD SAP implementations.Knowledge of Fiori/UI5 for MDG applications.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.ls, Education, Experience, or Certifications.]Example: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
