This role focuses on vacuum-sealed meat packaging operations using commercial sealing systems.Location: Bronx, NYPay: $17.00 / HRShift: 5am to completionKey ResponsibilitiesCryovac Machine OperationFeed product into vacuum-sealing machines (Multivac R085, VC999)Monitor vacuum seal integrity and remove/repack defective productTrim excess plastic and prepare finished packagesRun product through shrink tunnel when requiredMaintain steady production flow to avoid bottlenecks or pileupsQuality & Food Safety ComplianceFollow sanitation SOPs and equipment safety protocolsAdhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Prevent cross-contamination and maintain product integrityMaintain proper temperature controls (3540F environment)Report equipment or quality issues to leads immediatelyProduction & Team SupportWork collaboratively with fabrication and warehouse teamsAssist with staging, labeling, and preparation for storage or distributionSupport end-of-shift cleaning and sanitation proceduresQualificationsEntry-level applicants welcome; previous vacuum packaging or meat processing experience preferredAbility to work in wet, refrigerated environments (3540F)Comfortable with repetitive motions and standing for extended periodsAbility to lift 4060 lbsStrong attention to detail, speed, and teamworkBenefits (Union Position after probation 90 days)Union representation401(k)Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceDisability insurancePaid time offPaid sick timeEmployee discount
