Pay Range
$30 - $34/hr with $2 Shift Differential
Main Function
Responsible for maintaining plant equipment while also overseeing production operations during assigned shift. This role combines hands‑on maintenance expertise with front‑line production supervision, ensuring equipment reliability, production efficiency, and facility oversight.

3rd shift, Friday & Saturday, 11 pm – 7:15 am
Qualifications / Requirements
Requires good math skills and the ability to read and understand instructions and manuals.
Must have a thorough knowledge of PLC‑controlled machinery.
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills required to oversee production personnel.
Ability to make sound decisions independently during assigned shift operations.
Requires experience and skills in areas relating to electrical machine maintenance and modification.
Must be advanced in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general computer applications.
Requires experience and skills in areas relating to building construction and modification.
Must have electrical, plumbing & HVAC experience.
EPA certification is preferred, not required.
Must possess a valid driver’s license, be able to transport 50 pounds, operate shop equipment, power tools, and use hand tools.
Duties and Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair all types of manufacturing equipment using specialized experience in electrical and PLC‑controlled equipment.
Oversee production operations during assigned shift to ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are met.
Acts as the primary point of contact for all production and maintenance issues during the shift.
Ensure staffing levels are adequate and manage attendance for all personnel on shift.
Approves employee time off and vacation requests in accordance with company policy.
Coordinates production priorities and communicates effectively with other shifts and management.
Ensures adherence to standard operating procedures, quality requirements, and safety policies.
Identifies and escalates production, personnel, or equipment issues as needed.
Drives accountability and performance within the team.
Maintains a total productive maintenance program that follows the manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures.
This includes all manufacturing equipment, HVAC, vacuum systems, dust collection systems, dehumidifier units, air compressors, furnaces, lighting, etc.
Assists with handling equipment breakdowns and completes maintenance work requests as needed and assigned by Maintenance Engineering Manager.
Assists in modifications as described in approved project proposals.
Utilizes time between various stages of major projects to accomplish smaller projects.
Participates in lean activities, including but not limited to:
Lean training and lean events such as kaizen or a 5‑day event.
5‑S program in the various departments assigned.
DMAICs – efficiency looks for ways to improve both the departments and own individual efficiencies and time management, as well as ways to improve any aspect of the Company’s operations and develops and implements DMAICs accordingly.
Notifies the Manager of any production, equipment, safety, personnel problems, etc., and cooperates in resolving such issues as well. For example, requests assistance when systems prevent the efficient performance of duties or when a system fails.
Provides Manager with feedback to determine where additional training would benefit and obtains additional training as necessary.
Complies with all Company policies (i.e., personnel, safety, etc.).
Performs other duties as assigned.
Environmental Factors & Physical Demands
Primarily works indoors in a temperature‑controlled environment.
May occasionally be subject to the outside environment when working on HVAC, compressors, and other equipment outside of the building or when assisting with snow removal, and may occasionally work in confined areas or high places.
Primarily requires walking, climbing, kneeling, stooping, bending, driving, and transporting up to 50 pounds.
Requires operating various shop equipment, power tools, and hand tools.
Requires good math skills and the ability to read and understand operating instructions and manuals.
