Windows Deployment Technician (Winston-Salem)

This role will be responsible for preparing, configuring, and deploying end-user devices while ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for employees. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with users in a fast-paced environment.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong desktop support experience who enjoys combining technical troubleshooting with customer service.This is a contract opportunity with an Arctiq client located in Winston-Salem, NC where daily onsite presence is required.Key ResponsibilitiesImage and prepare laptops for deployment using pre-configured enterprise imagesConfigure devices and validate proper application of group policies and security settingsTroubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and user profile issues during deployment activitiesCoordinate and schedule appointments with end users for device swap-outs and upgradesDeploy laptops to employees and provide onboarding support during setup and migration activitiesEnsure successful transfer of user data, applications, and access where applicableDocument deployment progress, asset tracking, and support activities accuratelyEscalate complex technical issues to appropriate internal IT teams when necessaryMaintain a professional, friendly, and customer-focused experience throughout the deployment processSupport inventory management, device staging, cable management, and workstation setup as neededFollow established IT processes, security standards, and deployment proceduresQualifications1–3+ years of experience in desktop support, deployment, or help desk environmentsExperience imaging and configuring Windows laptops in an enterprise environmentFamiliarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Windows operating systemsBasic understanding of hardware troubleshooting and peripheral supportExperience with ticketing systems and IT asset management tools preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support non-technical usersAbility to work independently while managing multiple deployment appointments and prioritiesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentArctiq is an equal opportunity employer.
