Senior Director, Market AccessCompensation: $250–275K Base + Bonus + EquityScientific Search has partnered with a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing innovative therapies for oncology and rare diseases.Our client is seeking a Senior Director of Market Access to lead payer strategy, reimbursement, and patient access initiatives across a growing commercial portfolio and pipeline. This role will serve as a key commercial leader, shaping access strategy across the product lifecycle while working cross-functionally with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Finance, and external partners.This is a highly impactful role ideal for a market access leader who thrives in rare disease and oncology environments and enjoys building scalable access strategies in a fast-paced biotech setting.Why This RoleHigh-impact leadership role shaping market access strategy across a growing portfolioOpportunity to build and optimize patient access infrastructureWork cross-functionally with senior leadership and influence commercial successFast-paced, collaborative biotech environmentResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute Market Access strategies across commercial and government payers to ensure optimal coverage, reimbursement, and patient accessLead end-to-end patient access strategy including hub services, reimbursement support, field reimbursement, and patient assistance programsOwn distribution strategy across specialty pharmacy, specialty distribution, and buy-and-bill channelsDefine and communicate product value propositions to payers, incorporating health economics and outcomes dataSupport pricing strategy and gross-to-net considerations in partnership with FinanceLead engagement with national and regional payers to inform coverage and reimbursement strategyOversee 340B strategy and channel managementManage external vendors including hub providers, reimbursement vendors, and distribution partnersPartner cross-functionally with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Finance, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teamsSupport global access planning and ex-U.S. launch readinessRequirementsBachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD, or similar) preferred15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry with strong focus in Market AccessDeep experience in payer strategy, reimbursement, patient support programs, and distributionProven success supporting product launches, ideally in oncology and/or rare diseasesStrong understanding of U.S. payer systems including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial coverage dynamicsExperience with buy-and-bill and/or specialty pharmacy distribution modelsDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage external partnersPreferred ExperienceBackground in rare disease and/or oncologyExperience in emerging biotech environmentsExposure to global market access and ex-U.S. launch strategyHow To ApplyWe'd love to see your resume, but we don't need it to have a conversation.Email or message me directly if you'd like to learn more.
