Prepare and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure milestones are met and objectives are achieved. Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Rapid Modeling & Iterative Design: Direct the end-to-end process of translating scientific concepts into simulated modeling test articles using specific modeling software’s. Oversee the rapid design, and iterative development of models to quickly validate hypotheses and refine designs. Data Analysis & Validation: Perform rigorous analysis of experimental and computational data to validate models and inform the next iteration of the design- test cycle. Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and deliver high-level briefings, technical publications, and project updates to sponsors, technical teams, and command leadership, effectively communicating risks, progress, and outcomes. Team Leadership: Guide and coordinate the efforts of a diverse team of scientists, engineers, and technicians, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment. Recommend alternate methods to reduce costs, improve data accuracy or adequacy, and meet critical deadlines. Review and provide guidance on work completed by others to ensure technical accuracy, adequacy, and completeness. Conduct site visits and field inspections in support of civil works construction projects and existing infrastructure. Manage multiple large projects with short timelines and competing priorities. ERDC research is developing innovative solutions for a safer, better world - https://youtu.be/sFPkIQnYkwY.This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing one of the Science, Technology, and Research Laboratory (STRL) specific DHAs to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in competitive service.Minimum Experience RequirementOne year of specialized experience including 1) planning, coordination, and execution of high-level military and civil works projects as lead or co-lead 2) strong written and verbal communication skills 3) familiarity with 3D CAD drafting, modeling software, and programming. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).Required Qualifications Strong knowledge of civil works related navigation projects. Experience in project scoping, planning, and execution. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to interact professionally with high-ranking military and civilian officials. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a government environment.
