Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation - Culinary Cook/AidesGreenville Nursing & Rehab is looking for Culinary Cook/Aides to join our teams' mission and believe in our core values!Our mission: Through the hearts of our Care Team Members, we provide excellent healthcare to those we serve.Our Core Values...L - ListeningE - EmpathyA - AccountabilityD - DecisivenessThis is how we create a culture to LEAD with Love.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Operate the dish machine and various food service equipment.Assist with tray line assembly and restorative dining programs.Food preparation as assigned.Clean the dish machine area and clean and de-lime dish machine.Store clean equipment and utensils.Assist in maintaining preparation and service area in sanitary condition.Assist in putting away stock.Set up dietary tray cards.Deliver food carts to resident meal service location areas.Empty garbage in dumpster and sanitize garbage cans.Maintain effective communication with residents, families and community staff.Must adhere to strict guidelines for serving times.Must adhere to sanitation control issues as described in policy and procedure manual: CCP (Critical Control Point).Set up dish machine area; check temperatures and check soap dispensing levels.Scrape, pre-wash and stack soiled dishes.Soak cups for removal of stains.Clean floors: sweep and mop; makes sure "Wet Floor" signs are up.Chang mop heads.Dismantle tray line after service as applicable.Monitor temperature logs and have knowledge of documented same, when applicable.Utilize chemicals appropriately and have knowledge of MSDS process.The above statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be involved in the position. This position may have limited access to protected health information in the resident's clinical records to conduct job duties.Perform other tasks as assigned.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:This position requires for the care team member to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language.This position requires for the care team member to be able to reach (overhead), stand, walk, sit, pull, lift, carry, push, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and twist.This position requires for the care team member to be knowledgeable of portion control and quality assurance.This position requires for the care team member to be familiar with Board of Health regulations and state requirements.Nutrition Services employees are restricted from working in the Nutrition Services Department when suffering from a contagious infection or cold. This care team member must have a written notice from his or her physician stating he or she is free from being contagious and that he or she is able to report back to his or her job in the Nutrition Services Department.These written statements should be filed in the personnel record of the care team member.Lesions and Cuts - All dietary employees having cuts or lesions on the hands or fingers must wear a surgical rubber glove or a surgical finger. This is to cover the lesion tightly so there is no contact between the lesion and the food, which could infect the lesion more as well as contaminate the food touched by the employee.
