Software Validation Engineer - ASIC
Role OverviewWe are seeking a versatile and independent C++ Software Engineer to join the AI Infrastructure Silicon Validation team. This role focuses on writing robust software to test, validate, and stress-test AI infrastructure platforms. You will use your strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) foundation to build validation applications, integrate with hardware vendor SDKs (including NVIDIA CUDA), and independently deliver reliable testing code.Key Responsibilities:Write Validation Software: Design, implement, and maintain test applications in C++ to validate the performance and correctness of AI infrastructure.SDK & API Integration: Successfully integrate and utilize third-party SDKs and low-level APIs, specifically including CUDA, to interact with compute hardware.Apply Clean OOP Principles: Build reusable, modular, and easily maintainable validation frameworks using proper modern object-oriented design patterns.Independent Execution: Take ownership of assigned validation features from technical requirements through to delivery, debugging, and documentation with minimal supervision.Test & Debug: Identify software bugs, memory issues, and api integration edge cases in a Linux-based engineering environment.Required Technical Skills:Strong C++ & OOP: Solid proficiency in core C++ (including modern standards like C++14/C++17) with a deep understanding of classes, inheritance, polymorphism, and memory management.API/SDK Experience: Demonstrated ability to read documentation, pick up new technical SDKs quickly, and implement them—specifically CUDA APIs.Proficiency with POSIX Multi-threadingLinux Environment: Comfortable developing, compiling (e.g., CMake/Make), and running applications in a standard Linux environment.Independent Problem Solver: Proven track record of working autonomously to complete coding tasks, write clean test code, and troubleshoot issues.Desired Experience:Experience writing unit tests or automated validation suites.Basic familiarity with multi-threaded programming or concurrent execution concepts.Familiarity with Python for basic scripting or test automation wrappers6+ years of hands-on experience working in complex (preferably) HW-SW projects with tight schedules
