Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician Assistant

Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (Can present you according to the provider's availability)On-Call: No required call (Optional paid call available)Position Overview:The facility is seeking a dedicated Neurosurgery PA to join a full-time neurosurgery team. The role focuses primarily on spine surgery (approximately 80%) with cranial cases comprising about 20% of the practice. This position offers a balanced surgical and inpatient consult experience in a collaborative hospital-based environment.Key Responsibilities:First assist in neurosurgical procedures, primarily spine and cranial casesPerform minor procedures including wound suturing and wound aspirationsProvide perioperative patient managementConduct inpatient consults, including ICU consults as neededParticipate in preoperative and postoperative patient careCollaborate closely with the neurosurgery attending physician (full-time onsite coverage)Clinical Volume:5 7 surgeries per week on averagePatient census varies based on elective surgery scheduleEvening and weekend coverage managed by on-call APP with formal sign-out processRequirements:Active New York licenseExperience as a surgical first assist required.
